Louise trained as a young child with the Royal Ballet School with whom she performed with at The Royal Opera House, Covent Garden. She continued with her education at Elmhurst Ballet School then gaining her Dance Diploma and ISTD Teaching certificate with Distinction via a scholarship at Laine Theatre Arts.
During her final year at college she was chosen to work with top choreographers such as Kim Gavin and Frank Freeman.
After graduating, Louise worked with Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Really Useful Theatre Company in Cats and Joseph & the Amazing Technicolored Dreamcoat in the West End, then with other companies working in London and on UK Tours such as A Chorus Line, before assisting in the Broadway workshops of new and up and coming musicals.
Louise also worked in Films such as Shakespeare in love and Johnny English, along with others.
During her time in London, Louise taught with some of the Top Dance school for children. After the birth of her first child, she moved to Devon and taught for Jan Cload at Sidmouth Ballet School. On Jans retirement Louise started her own dance school, now known as Devon Dance and Drama.
Louise then went on to gain a Masters Degree in Dance Movement Psychotherapy with Dance Voice in Bristol. This has lead her to work in psychotherapy with groups experiencing: Teenagers with Anxiety, Alzheimers and Dementia Patients and various Learning Difficulty groups. Louise continues to work with Dance Movement Psychotherapy when she’s not teaching.
She also works occasionally for BitPod an Exeter based online media advertising company via Voice overs and Directing.
Her first love is with teaching and spreading her enthusiasm for dance and performance.
Louise has an enhanced DBS and first Aid Certificate.
